Parenting Apart: Effective Co-Parenting
Contact: Brenda Shadden, Extension Agent & County Director
This educational program is for divorcing or separate parents. Beginning January 1, 2001 Tennessee State Legislature implemented law mandating divorcing parents, with minor children, to attend parent education classes. The University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension Service has developed a four-hour program to meet the needs of divorcing parents. In Cocke County, that program has teamed with the Cocke County Family Resource Center to assist parents in helping minor children cope with circumstances surrouncing divorce and/or separation.
Pre-registration must be completed. Call University of Tennessee Extension in Cocke County at 423-623-7531 for a registration form. Cost: $30.
Class schedule: Contact Cocke County Extension office at 623-7531 for schedule.
